The recently formed Alchemy Art Quartet came together through a shared passion to communicate, express, and create performances of meaning and wonder, through the medium of the string quartet. The ensemble aim to share cultural conversation, developing projects that explore a variety of styles and languages from around the world. Musicians Julia Watson (Violin), Madeleine Antoine (Violin), Alix Hamilton (Viola), and Miranda Murray-Yong (Cello), cultivate a unique expression within the wealth of traditional string quartet repertoire, whilst facilitating a space for the creation of new works.
